Wee Acorns - a small, purpose-built nursery in Dunblane.

Our Aims

At Wee Acorns we share five aims. These are designed to support and value the children, families, staff and visitors who are involved in the life of Wee Acorns.

- To create an atmosphere which is welcoming, understanding and informal, where people are treated with respect and where diversity is celebrated.

- To provide children with opportunities and experiences which promote learning through play and real life scenarios. Working within the guidelines of the Scottish Government, Stirling Council, other governing bodies, and our own policies, we value and encourage individuality and creativity in thought and learning.

- To recognise that parents and families are the main carers and educators of young children, and that by working in partnership with families we can develop a greater knowledge of the children who come to Wee Acorns.

- To be committed to continual staff training and development. We recognise the professional role our staff members have and appreciate their expertise and knowledge of pedagogy and how children develop.

- To nurture responsible citizens, who take responsibility for their actions and reactions, both in the nursery and in the wider community.
